This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use sunwheretenerife.com, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect: name; email address; phone number; billing address; travel dates and party details; VAT/tax ID (if applicable); payment confirmation data; and website usage data (via cookies). You provide this data voluntarily when booking, enquiring, purchasing, or subscribing.

3. Why we process your data, and our legal basis

To handle bookings, enquiries and rental agreements, and to fulfil Travel Kit orders — performance of a contract.
To issue invoices and meet Spanish tax and tourist-registration obligations — legal obligation.
To send our newsletter and free guides you requested, and other marketing — your consent (withdrawable any time).
To operate, secure and improve the website and measure our marketing — our legitimate interest, and consent where cookies require it.

We never sell your data or share it with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.

Most of our providers are based in the EU. Some (Google, Meta) may process data outside the EU, including in the USA; where they do, transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

6. How long we keep your data

Booking and invoicing data: as required by Spanish tax and accounting law (minimum 8 years). Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to [X] months, then deleted, unless you have joined our newsletter.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing; and withdraw marketing consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD, www.aepd.es).

8. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — secure servers, encrypted backups, and access limited to authorised persons — to protect your data. No internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

9. Minors

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
